Pavlomir traces its modern story to 1994, when winemakers displaced from Vukovar, led by Andrija Biro and Miroslav Palinkaš, began helping revive viticulture in the valley. Palinkaš brought a family connection to wine from Šarengrad and developed a particular commitment to Žlahtina in Vinodol. It is a story of skills carried from one place to another, and of putting down roots again. That human context gives the vineyards meaning beyond their appearance.
Žlahtina is the natural starting point for discovering Pavlomir’s relationship with the region. The range also includes international varieties and sparkling wines, including 1288 and San Marino. Rather than promising a set flight, we suggest asking the team to show how their wines differ in style and purpose: what they would open for a coastal lunch, what invites food, and what they would choose for a celebration. The available bottles and vintages should shape the experience.
The brick-and-wood tasting room accommodates approximately 70 people, according to the winery, and welcomes individual visitors as well as groups by arrangement.
